About My Clients

Struggling with intense emotions, relationship issues, societal pressures, or family challenges? Looking for a place where you can just be yourself without feeling judged or misunderstood? Whether you're grappling with tough emotions, questioning your identity, or feeling overwhelmed, I'm here to help. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly, feel heard, and be understood. You don't have to face these challenges alone.

My Background and Approach

With a foundation in psychology and gender, sexuality, and women's studies, I bring an intersectional understanding of how marginalization affects mental well-being. My experience at a sexual violence center, where I focused on crisis intervention and community outreach, has equipped me to work effectively with individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly sexual trauma. Growing up in a diverse area with limited access to mental health care, I am keenly aware of the barriers faced by marginalized communities, such as immigration issues, insurance challenges, and financial constraints. This background enables me to connect with and support individuals from these communities and particularly queer and trans individuals. Additionally, I have a passion for working with teens and adolescents, offering them the guidance and support they need during critical developmental stages. My combined expertise ensures that I can provide empathetic, informed, and tailored care to those I serve.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe it’s essential to support teens and adolescents by ensuring they have equitable access to healthcare and mental health services during this critical time in their lives. My passion is creating a safe, inclusive space where young people feel empowered to explore their identities and navigate life’s challenges. I embrace a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, promoting body neutrality and positivity. As a queer woman with a loving trans/nonbinary partner, I advocate fiercely for LGBTQIA+ rights, especially for trans youth and access to affirming healthcare. Intersectionality guides my work, as I believe in addressing the interconnected nature of social identities and oppression. Acknowledging my positions of power and privilege is key to my approach. I strive to amplify marginalized voices and ensure all people feel heard, valued, and supported in their journeys.
