About My Clients
My clients are adults who are ready to learn new skills to manage what life has put in their path. Have you lost someone? Had a change in your health, career, or relationships that is hard to adjust to? Feeling down, anxious, or disconnected from yourself or others? I can support you on a journey of healing that focuses on your strengths, your goals for a life-well-lived, and change toward the person you want to be.
My Background and Approach
My background includes work with children, older adults, those with life-limiting illness, and people struggling with grief, loss, and adjustment to life transitions. My approach is collaborative, conversational, and warm. I incorporate mindfulness, skill-building, and parts work to help you learn to manage every day struggles. I will continually work with you to set and re-evaluate your therapy goals, then tailor your sessions to work toward those goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the central task of therapy is finding the balance between acceptance and change - acceptance of what is and change to enable what can be. I believe that, like plants which put on new leaves every year of their existence, we all have the capacity to grow and heal at every stage of our lives.
