About My Clients
I love working with gender diverse adolescents, queer and questioning folks, and young adults navigating life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by their responsibilities and disconnected from their communities.
My Background and Approach
I prioritize providing a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable openly expressing themselves and becoming more attuned to their values, needs, and identities. I use an integrative therapeutic approach that draws primarily from client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, feminist, and existential therapeutic modalities. By centering trust in the therapeutic alliance, I hope to empower clients to develop improved security and more authentic, gratifying relationships in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Using a multicultural and intersectional framework, I support clients in recognizing the social and cultural contexts that influence their lived experiences. As a queer-identifying clinician, I understand the value of fostering an inclusive and affirmative space in order to help clients feel safe to openly explore their identities and learn to embrace their most authentic selves. I began my career by counseling students receiving Medicaid in Chicago schools. Due to under-resourcing, my work centered on trauma processing, crisis intervention, and identity exploration. I have been deeply humbled by this experience and would be honored to use what I have learned to support you in this moment of growth and healing.
