About My Clients
I have experience working with all ages and with many different issues. I work with those with depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, neurodivergence (autism, SLDs, I/DD, ADHD), bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. I am open to working with and holding space for any person who is willing to work alongside me in their own healing and self-exploration.
My Background and Approach
I have bachelor’s and my master’s in social work, as well as a minor in special education. I came upon social work as someone who has always valued relationships with others, community service, social justice, and a passion for working toward a better world. I use an integrated approach to therapy, taking pieces of various theories and methods in order to find what works best for each individual client. I want to both work for you and with you; I want your feedback on what does and does not work for you and I want to hold space for you in whatever way is conducive to your individual healing. I believe in support over solution; in walking with someone to face their unique issues however they need rather than “fixing” them. I want my clients to be comfortable with me and never feel like I am judging them, but I also hope to challenge and gently push them toward growth. My aim is to create space for clients to feel seen, heard, and supported.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love people fiercely. I have many identities that give me privilege and I recognize the responsibility I have to use that privilege to listen to others and give them the platform to speak for themselves. I do my absolute best to be an ally to any and all marginalized groups.
