About My Clients
Feeling lost and overwhelmed? Whether it's work, school, family, relationships, the pandemic, or just society at large, your situation matters. You've held out for so long, but you're tired of doing this alone. Enough is enough. You're ready to change, as terrifying as that is, but you're not sure how to start. Counseling can help by teaching you the tools necessary to get your life back. Let's talk and see if I'm the right guide for you on this journey of growth, healing, and empowerment.
My Background and Approach
With a degree in counseling, I work from a cognitive-oriented and problem-solving perspective to build awareness and tap into your inner strength. My aim is to help you feel less overwhelmed, which can be the root of anxiety and depression. In couple counseling, my aim is to help you and your partner communicate your needs effectively and understand what and how your expectations influence your relationship. I believe that you already have the knowledge and resources to enhance your life, and that you need help unlocking that part of yourself. My goal is to guide you in understanding how to use and recognize these tools as well as introduce new strategies to better solve old issues. Therapy is not one size fits all, and I aim to tailor my therapeutic knowledge and skills to best fit your needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that change can happen at any point in one's life, and growth will happen when we are willing to be uncomfortable. The issues we face today as a society is enough to drive anyone to the brink, and this pandemic has only highlighted it. My intentions in therapy is to provide a warm, transparent, and safe space for my clients as they explore their personal challenges and issues. My desire is for us to utilize therapy to move past current barriers in your life to develop a healthy, manageable lifestyle. Above all, I want to create an environment where you feel safe enough to connect to the most authentic version of yourself. Authenticity is what drives me. Sorry to disappoint, but you won't find a stoic, stiff-necked, judgmental therapist here. Instead, you'll see another human being who will keep it real with you and meet you where you are without judgment. I give myself permission to be human. I encourage you to do the same.
