About My Clients
I work with individuals who have experienced childhood trauma and are seeking healing and personal growth. Clients often come to me struggling with perfectionism, anxiety, and people-pleasing behaviors, feeling weighed down by a harsh inner critic and the pressure to meet external expectations. They may experience feelings of isolation, shame, or worthlessness, which can make it challenging to navigate their emotions and relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a trauma therapist with specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic questioning techniques. With these integrative approaches, I offer a comprehensive therapeutic experience designed to address the complex layers of trauma and emotional distress. My training in IFS allows me to help clients understand and connect with their internal parts, fostering self-compassion and healing. EMDR is particularly effective for processing traumatic memories, enabling clients to move past their pain and reclaim their lives. Additionally, my use of somatic questioning helps clients tune into their bodies, cultivating awareness and connection that can lead to profound insights and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm passionate about helping you nurture a supportive connection with yourself — one filled with curiosity rather than judgment, compassion over harshness, confidence over doubt, and creativity over feeling uninspired. When we cultivate a rich inner relationship with ourselves, our connections with others naturally flourish. I have found through my own personal journey with therapy, a deep and profound healing that has allowed me to show up as my authentic self and be present. I believe that capitalism, colonization, white supremacy, and many other systems of oppression must be dismantled and unlearned from our personal beliefs and behaviors, allowing us to cultivate a more equitable and just society that values all individuals and fosters true healing and connection. On a less serious note, I enjoy laughing and cultivating playfulness in my everyday life! I enjoy comedy, being outside, traveling, and snuggling with my animals.
