Sometimes being a person is hard. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and parents. Parents- if you are at your wits' end, I can help you to navigate the ups and downs of it all. If you are looking for a therapist for your teen, I like to think of myself as very relatable to youth who "gets" them. The truth is, you can read these little blurbs all day, but you won't really know if I'm a good fit until we talk. So let's talk!
In my practice I work to help girls and women of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, self-exploration, self- silencing, codependency and other challenging relationship dynamics, as well as postpartum mood disorders and other experiences motherhood can bring.
I specialize in two main types of clients - those who require a deep understanding of trauma and those with neurodivergent characteristics; think military Veterans and the ASD population. My clients are trying to make sense of their lives through a conversational exploration style that is far from cold or clinical. I am simply here to create a truly safe space for you to explore your thoughts, help you process experiences, and begin to enjoy life again.
I specialize in working with adolescents, teens, justice/system-involved individuals, young adults, Queer folks (2SLGBTQIA), B.I.POC (People of the Global Majority) and neurodiverse individuals. Do you have overwhelming emotions, mood changes, and/or intrusive thoughts that have caused distress in your life? Are they preventing you from living a fulfilling life? Are undiagnosed and untreated mh issues adding to the problem? Do you feel stuck and unable to process and move through past traumas?

You are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, unfulfilled. Maybe your relationship feels like it is crashing and burning. Or maybe you feel like you friend circle has shrunk or that you are the last person standing with no romantic prospects. Maybe you are a parent just trying to get through the day. You have lost motivation, direction, and a sense of purpose. You are not sure when it started but you do not feel the same. Maybe you just feel alone and the voice in your head is saying “what is wrong?”
You're living the life you're working hard for and maybe in a relationship that fits the bill, but you feel deep down that something's off, like you’re living someone else’s story. Your inner world doesn't quite match the outside—inside, you feel overwhelmed, down, and not enough, and in this world, maybe different and othered. You crave to be listened to non-judgmentally, be fully seen and accepted, and ultimately have a loving and healthy relationship with yourself and those around you.
Are you finding yourself overwhelmed most days? Do you tend to put others needs before your own? Maybe you feel the weight of the negative self-talk getting louder and harder to manage. That inner voice can really put you down and leave you in a state of constant stress. Speaking from experience, the internal battle can feel quite isolating. If this resonates, my hope is to guide you through the messy world of emotions and help give you an experience of what it means to hold yourself in love.
I invite individual adults and couples to explore your struggles and the unhealthy patterns that keep you mired in feelings of sadness, anxiety, or simply with a sense that your life is not quite how you wish it to be. Maybe you've tried to work out the problems yourself and keep circling back to square one. Maybe you've hit a brick wall. Maybe you don't even know where to begin. Together, we'll uncover the power of change that lives inside you.
Are you a busy professional in this fast paced world? Are you negatively impacted by the pandemic, lack of resources and/or acceptance? Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, and/or relationship issues? Perhaps you aren't struggling but instead want support in learning and growing in your own personal self-improvement. Whether you are experienced with or new to the therapy experience, I welcome you and look forward to helping you along your journey.

Finding a therapist that is the right fit can be hard. I am a Licensed psychotherapist who partners with families to support their children and young adults through these challenging times. With a focus on anxiety, depression and disordered eating, I support children and families in developing resiliency and thriving.
I work closely with individuals who have experienced trauma and live with PTSD. I also enjoy supporting people living with addiction, depression, and anxiety. By utilizing evidence-based practices such as EMDR, CBT, and others, healing is possible. I am a strong diagnostician and have often helped people find clarity and a diagnosis after years of feeling lost or not making progress. Let's get you unstuck and feeling better!
My clients often struggle to cope with depression, anxiety, and/or ADHD and are ready for a change. I help youth who: feel irritable, constantly worry, experience school/work stress or decline, have difficulty focusing or completing tasks, have difficulty sleeping, struggle to communicate without escalation or shutting down, and/or drink, use substances, have suicidal thoughts, and/or self-harm. I also conduct comprehensive ADHD assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
I work best with clients who are neurodivergent (ADHD and Autism), depressed, struggling with OCD, experiencing or recovering from relationship abuse, and/or trauma survivors. My aim is to provide a safe space where we can explore your current situation and come together to find ways to move past the challenges you are facing in your life. This may be achieved through counselling and the use of an integrative approach that considers cultural, environmental, and emotional factors.
Many of my clients experience emotional distress and have relationship concerns. They may be navigating a relationship, experiencing a loss or a change, going through school or college, parenting or caring for elder parents. Most describe feelings related to depression or anxiety. My clients represent all parts of our society, and are a culturally, ethnically, sexually, mixed and diverse people and from these parts they share with me what is difficult and what is good about being who they are.

You may be struggling with much anxiety, irritability, have difficulties creating meaningful connections, feeling burned out, maybe history of challenging relationship with parent(s), or you may notice much dissatisfaction in life. My clients are ready to dive into deeper work of uncovering and shifting deep-seated patterns, to heal their on-going anxiety, relational wounding, and/or trauma (whether little "t" or big "T"), and learn to stand grounded in their confidence, in peace.
Do you struggle with feeling at loss with your sense of self, which affects your relationships and your day-to-day life? Do you feel overwhelmed by your mind constantly thinking about the what-ifs of life? Do you feel disconnected from yourself and others? Now more than ever women are feeling anxious, uncertain, and overwhelmed about how to "manage it all" and take care of themselves. Constantly putting everyone else before you can lead to feeling burnt-out and disconnected from mind and body.
Our clients are individuals who may be hesitant to begin therapy, but after meeting during a free consultation, they quickly recognize the benefits of meeting with one of our experienced, compassionate, and open minded therapists. Many individuals we meet with have had experiences with anxiety, stress, depression, difficulties in relationships and at work, and have experienced trauma at some point in their lives.
