You love your partner and used to enjoy your time together. Now you find yourselves in the same arguments repeatedly. You feel like you can't do anything right despite trying hard to be a good partner. Your efforts go unnoticed, and intimacy has become difficult, leaving you frustrated and reluctant to try. Conversations end in conflict, creating distance and loneliness. Both of you are tired of arguing and walking on eggshells, feeling stuck and alone.
I work with young adults and adults who are experiencing stress and anxiety. My goal is to help you stop getting caught in a spiral of distracting negative thoughts so that you can start being present in the here and now. Then you can more easily make choices that are consistent with your personal values and goals.
I have worked with individuals with a wide range of ages - from adolescents to older adults, individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals involved in school and/or high stress jobs, and survivors of childhood, relationship, and experienced trauma - just to name a few! I firmly believe that therapy should be a comfortable and safe space, so I tailor my approach to what works and feels right for my client.
I work with individuals, couples, and adult families from various communities and relational styles. My clients tend to be those who are committed to growth and demonstrate great courage in tolerating emotional vulnerability, self-reflection, and honesty during the therapeutic process. As there is no one size fits all in psychotherapy, each experience is tailored to the specific needs and desired outcomes of the people I work with. I value the folks I work with and support their growth.
Each relationship shared with a client brings a sense of investment and an opportunity of reward for diligence. You want to appear successful but instead you feel: Consumed by an inner critic telling you that you aren’t good enough; disconnected from that part of you that’s always been confident; guilty for being angry at the people you care about; and worn out from feeling like you are letting other people down. Life doesn’t have to stay this way. Hi, I’m Dr. Rey Junco, and I can help.I provide trauma therapy using EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
Everyone experiences distressing or overwhelming challenges at different points in life. Many people struggle to manage these inevitable difficulties, get stuck and then subsequently feel defined by their emotional pain. This can negatively impact relationships, ambitions, work and self-worth. I believe in people’s inherent right to live meaningful and joyful lives and in their ability to choose how to respond to life’s challenges.
I provide a therapeutic space where clients' feel safe, experiencing me as someone of whom can be trusted with their deeper thoughts. A client's feelings and goals are of the utmost importance to me. My wish is that that from the moment you meet me, you experience my highly analytical approach, coupled with genuine care and warmth.

Our 1:1 therapy container will offer you a safe and sacred space to be seen, heard, and supported. Together we will offer space for the parts of you that have been waiting; the parts that have held their voice when told they were too loud, the emotions that have been stuffed down when told they were too big. Together we will welcome and invite all parts of you home and help them to feel connected and seen again.
For anyone who has ever been accused of being too emotional, too sensitive, too wild; for anyone who doesn't fit into the boxes society has created; for anyone who has struggled to find their place in the world-- you are my people. Many of my clients identify within the LGBTQ+ community and are between the ages of 12 and 40.
I work with adult individuals, couples, and adult groups (think: adult child and parent, adult siblings, friends, etc). I do not work with teens or children. My typical clients are interested in working through issues, invested in their growth, and are open to exploring deeper issues of life and what it means to be them. I am strongly relational in my work with clients, providing feedback, insight, and guidance in a nonjudgmental way.
