About My Clients
I am passionate about working through concerns related to grief and loss, chronic and terminal illness, trauma, anxiety, and all associated stressors through a trauma-informed, strength-based lens. My goal is to work with you in achieving your goals while also enhancing your capacity for introspection, self-reflection, and self-awareness. Whether you are seeking out support to work through current or historical thoughts, feelings, or experiences, I'm ready to meet you where you're at.
My Background and Approach
I have obtained a Master of Social Work and am currently working towards my Master of Science in Thanatology to greater support those dealing with concerns associated with death and dying, grief and loss, and end-of-life concerns. I have over ten years of experience working with end-of-life concerns in various employment roles and eight years of experience in emergency services. I typically begin by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through a trauma-informed, strength-based lens which presents naturally through organic conversation. I am a psychodynamic therapist, therefore in addition to CBT, I also utilize components of: Attachment-based, Family Systems, Narrative, and Psychoanalytic models of therapy. I am also trained in Gottman Method Level I and II and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
