About My Clients
I work well with individuals who want to feel more connected to themselves and others. The clients I see may have experienced trauma and struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I have a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ adults and those in helping professions.
My Background and Approach
I spent the first ten years of my early career in the field of homeless outreach, education, and advocacy work. This experience gave me an acute understanding of how systemic barriers, discrimination, and capitalism impact our mental health and experience of ourselves and others. I am passionate about healing approaches that are exploratory and trauma-informed. I approach my clients with compassion, curiosity, and the firm belief that through deepening our relationship with ourselves and others, we can discover our innate capacity for healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer therapist and my work is guided by the assumption that our intersecting identities play a significant role in our lives and the therapy process. I believe that you deserve to have a therapeutic relationship where you can bring your whole self, and I look forward to welcoming all parts of your identity and life experience. I embrace nonviolence as a guiding value and strive to provide care that aligns with greater freedom and harmony, within yourself and within the world.
