About My Clients
Are you a parent frustrated with behavioral challenges? Have you researched ways to “get your kids to listen” but found limited results? Does your child suffer from crippling anxiety, or are you pregnant, postpartum, and feeling lost, sad, anxious, or overwhelmed? These challenges are treatable. I help families find solutions, develop plans, and implement effective strategies. Using evidence-based methods, I resolve conflicts, improve behavior, and enhance family functioning.
My Background and Approach
After completing my training at Harvard Medical School's McLean Hospital, I dedicated myself to supporting children's mental well-being. Working with children in hospital settings taught me about their unique challenges. In private practice, I built on this with mentors in childhood mental health, developing empathy and a commitment to evidence-based practices. I focus on personalized, evidence-based treatments for each child and include parental coaching, ensuring the whole family works together. It's about teamwork and helping each child thrive. Becoming a mother deepened my understanding of parenting challenges. After experiencing the emotions of being a new parent, I knew I wanted to help other women navigate the exciting but sometimes frustrating journey of parenting. I became certified in perinatal mental health to support all moms during this special time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a psychologist, I believe that good mental health is a right for everyone. Our ability to change and grow is truly amazing, and harnessing this potential can be life-changing. The first step in achieving the results you want for your child and your family is to take the plunge and reach out to a therapist who is the right fit for your needs. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, or behavioral concerns, or you, their beloved parent, are struggling with how to guide their behavior positively, therapy can help. As a mom of three, I am also intimately familiar with all the challenges of becoming a new parent. My goal is to help other women navigate these waters and come out stronger, ready to tackle parenting one small challenge at a time.
