About My Clients
Folks seeking a safe, compassionate space where they can be fully witnessed. Many come with deep emotional wounds, looking for a therapist who understands the complexities of trauma. They may feel unheard or invisible in other areas of their lives, but in our sessions, they find a place where their experiences are honored, their pain is validated, and their unique story is given the attention it deserves. My clients know that they will be met with kindness, deep respect, and unwavering presence.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s degree in Community & Trauma Counseling and am a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), which has equipped me with a profound understanding of trauma and its impact on individuals. My path to becoming a therapist has been influenced by my personal experiences and a strong commitment to creating inclusive and safe spaces, especially for the queer community. Prioritizing an experiential approach, I draw on modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to facilitate healing. IFS invites you to explore different aspects of yourself, helping you understand and address core wounds that may have developed in response to past experiences. Similarly, EMDR focuses on processing distressing memories and emotions associated with trauma. Through our work together, we allow space for you to explore your experiences, ease emotional pain, and nurture a deeper sense of hope and connection with yourself as you move forward.
Why I Became a Therapist
Having navigated the overwhelming landscape of trauma and mental health myself, I am committed to cultivating a compassionate and safe space for others on their healing journeys. I recognize the immense courage it takes to reach out for help, and am dedicated to fostering an environment where you can feel truly safe, understood, and supported. My belief in the transformative power of therapy is rooted in my own experiences and the profound changes I’ve witnessed in the lives of my clients. For me, becoming a therapist is more than a profession; it is a personal mission to provide the care and compassion I sought, helping others find their path to healing and empowerment.
