About My Clients
I support clients in increasing positive communication skills, creating healthy boundaries, improving relationships, and in processing past challenging experiences. I have extensive experience in working with individuals who have experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, and anxiety. My practice centers on creating a safe space through being inclusive and affirming to all humans by paying particular attention to each individual’s experiences and life story.
My Background and Approach
My personal life journey combined with my love of learning, teaching, and my desire to better understand the human experience guided me to becoming a therapist. My approach to therapy is eclectic -- each person comes to session with a unique story and unique needs -- so I pull from various therapeutic approaches and orientations to create a personalized therapeutic experience. I completed both my Master’s of Education and Master’s of Counseling in Clinical Mental Health from Portland State University. I have extensive training in somatic therapy, Hakomi, and completed a Holistic Health Coach program to better support the work I do.
