About My Clients
I help people who identify as Highly Sensitive, Neurodivergent, Empathic &/or Introverted... who feel stuck or overwhelmed to Integrate their unique gifts. It's never too soon to face fear, anxiety & panic & live life on our own terms. Freedom from anxious feelings & thoughts is possible. The Body is the key to Change. ****I see clients online In Colorado & in-person & online in Missouri**** I work with Individuals 19 & up as well as Groups, all genders, all religions, all sexual orientation.
My Background and Approach
I began my journey working at end of life, hospice & death & grief. My degree is in Contemplative Psychotherapy & Buddhist Psychology. I've added a strong emphasis on somatic, body-centered practices and I use it all to help Highly-Sensitive People who are struggling with anxiety, panic & burn-out. I use a body-centric approach... The work we do together includes awareness of the body: breath, movement & posture. Cognitive knowledge & learning are amazing, but including the body in psychotherapy ensures that ALL parts of you feel safe in the therapy room. The body knows exactly what pace to move for there to be room for change. Many of us have moved away from the body & are over-riding our instincts. This work is about listening & reconnecting to how & what the body knows.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a highly-sensitive person with an endlessly-curious mind. It took me some time to discover what worked for me in the realm of channeling my non-stop inspiration & empathic vulnerabilities, I am proof that it can be done! I didn’t do it alone (although it was NOT from a lack of trying). I did it through resourcing my mind through meditation & including my body with such practices as free-form movement & shamanic journey work. I’ve had amazing teachers, mentors & healing professionals who have helped me over the years. I want to bring what I’ve learned to benefit you on your path to self-awareness. We may be a good fit if you are a Highly Sensitive Person who is wanting to: Engage curiosity in the pursuit of positive change & growth. Develop mindfulness of body & movement as well as the mind & thoughts as a source of wisdom. Interrupt self-aggression & move into gentleness, self-care & self-attunement.
