About My Clients
I am passionate about helping highly sensitive individuals (HSP's), young adults and new Moms manage their anxiety, depressive symptoms and challenging life transitions by connecting with their internal resources and strengths, so they feel empowered. A common thread for highly sensitive people, empaths, young adults & Moms is a tendency to feel like you are doing life “wrong”. You are not! By helping you learn to quiet that internal critic and accept yourself as you are then change can happen!
My Background and Approach
I obtained my doctorate in clinical psychology in 2011. And went on to work with young adults and college aged students struggling with anxiety and depression, which continues to be an area of speciality in my work. As I became a Mother I became passionate about perinatal mental health and helping postpartum Moms, especially those with high sensitivity, navigate the ups and downs of Motherhood and supporting them in their mental health. My approach is blended. Informed by family systems I am always viewing individuals through a systemic lens, by looking back you can have better insight into why you are who you are and how to move forward. While also helping you in the moment by incorporating tangible skills from various mindfulness & somatic techniques as well as building self compassion. I have additional training in Perinatal Mental Health, Grief, Brainspotting, Mindfulness & Self Compassion, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Inference Based CBT for the treatment of OCD.
