About My Clients
I work with adults who are looking to feel more confident in their relationships, to better understand unhealthy vs healthy relationship dynamics, and to learn tools to create the relationships they desire. Everyone says "communication is key" though no one really teaches us how to effectively communicate. This is where I come in! My clients learn these necessary skills and grow to have more confidence in trusting themselves and others.
My Background and Approach
I would describe myself as compassionate, non-judgmental, and understanding in order to assist you in developing the skills you need to overcome the obstacles in your life. As a therapist I make it a point to show up authentically and be transparent in my approach, which I believe makes me a unique therapist. There is a difference between being professional/authentic and presenting as clinical/detached from a client's personal experience. I also understand the anxiety in reaching out to a therapist, and I aim to ease these feelings by walking you through the therapeutic process and answering any questions you may have!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that providing therapy means helping and supporting you in the areas of your life that are causing the most stress. I DO NOT make diagnosing my main focus because I aim to treat the client and not just their symptoms, I want to build a relationship with my clients not just a treatment plan. In the past I have helped clients work through heartbreak, financial stress, workplace challenges, dating anxiety, and people pleasing tendencies. Given the socio/political climate, I also want to provide a safe space and resources to people who feel unsafe or targeted, or even anxious about how to navigate the negativity/overwhelm in our everyday lives.
