About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or misunderstood? If so, I would love to offer you a comfortable (virtual) space in which to get support. I enjoy working with people who are exploring neurodivergence (particularly autism and ADHD), gender identity, sexual orientation, or body image. I also connect well with people who are experiencing major life changes, chronic health conditions, or who are struggling with relationships and boundaries.
My Background and Approach
I believe that a warm, collaborative, and trusting relationship between therapist and client is essential. The therapy relationship can be healing and dare I say, life changing. I am warm, direct, not afraid to challenge you and I love using humor in therapy. I use an integrative approach to help us explore and understand how your thoughts, feelings, and past experiences all contribute to how you're doing today. My goal is to make sure that you feel listened to, believed, and supported. I am enthusiastic about helping clients practice self compassion and build resilience, and use my skills and experience to help us identify small, attainable steps towards that goal.
My Values as a Therapist
I am social justice oriented and believe that everyone deserves respect, understanding, and support. Social and systemic issues affect every part of our lives, and as your therapist I will do my best to help you navigate a society that is not designed to support our well-being. I am queer identified and affirm all genders and sexual orientations. I am also fat positive, anti-diet, trauma-informed, sex positive, neurodiversity affirming, anti-ableist , and anti-racist. It is difficult to take care of yourself and your mental health in a world that can be judgmental, unsupportive, and oppressive. I promise to offer you a soft place to land and unconditional support and encouragement. If that sounds like what you're looking for, send me an email and we'll go from there. I look forward to hearing from you!
