About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples, especially those who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent, as well as anyone facing challenges with anxiety, depression, communication, life transitions, and more. Working as a postpartum doula for a decade has allowed me to work with couples and see first-hand the various dynamics present in marital, parental, and familial relationships. Therapy is all about bridging the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.
My Background and Approach
I take a three-prong approach to therapy. We will work on regulating your nervous system, learning necessary skills, and emotional processing. I will bring in a variety of tools like calming exercises, brain-spotting, and techniques from Narrative and Relational Therapy, as well as practical strategies for managing thoughts and triggers. By using these approaches together, we can work to ease triggers, tolerate stress, and create healthier habits.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of empathy, personal growth, and empowerment. In my work, I aim to create a supportive space where clients can explore their identities, emotions, and relationships, especially during times of significant changes. I value open communication and helping people develop practical coping skills that respect their unique circumstances and needs. I also strongly believe in advocacy—whether it’s guiding clients through obtaining accommodations or helping them navigate complex systems—while always honoring their autonomy and strengths. I stand for human rights and that no one is free until we are all free.
