About My Clients
Appearing like you "have it all together” can look so easy on the outside, when really you’re struggling deeply inside but feel you can’t break down because others are counting on you and you’ve set high expectations for yourself. If this is you, I get it. I’ve been there and sometimes it can feel impossible to get off the hamster wheel that has been set in motion.
My Background and Approach
Being a therapist is a second (sort of third) career for me after starting my career in journalism and going on to work in tech marketing. One thing I noticed about working in these high-stress environments is just how much they can impact every facet of your life — your mental health, your relationships, and your physical health to name a few. My approach to therapy involves helping you uncover what’s beneath the surface and how your past life experiences and relationships have impacted you. We’ll work together to process what you are experiencing and make sense of what has led you to this point.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I help individuals who are looking for a different way of doing things — whether it’s learning how to cope in a demanding, high-stress work environment, processing grief and trauma, or wanting to better understand yourself and how to live a life aligned with your values. I help couples who are needing extra help in their relationship, whether it’s navigating a big life change, learning how to manage conflict, processing loss, wanting to reconnect and improve intimacy, or needing a space just to be able to focus on each other. My intention is to create a safe and inclusive environment in the therapy room that is trauma-informed, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, weight inclusive, sex-positive, feminist, pro-immigrant, neurodiversity affirming, and disability justice oriented.
