About My Clients
Does it sometimes feel like you’re living in an emotional rollercoaster—similar to the ups and downs of the TV show “This Is Us?” Complex PTSD can make you feel overwhelmed and disconnected, but just the characters who find strength through connection and courage, you don’t have to face it alone. I help you navigate the overwhelming world of trauma using tools that allow you to reconnect with yourself and heal old wounds.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist trained in the Sensorimotor Therapy model, think of me as your personal blend of “Insecure” meets “The Good Place” with a touch of “This Is Us” healing energy. My practice, Hello Neighbor Counseling, has been running for 3 years, and I specialize in helping adults (18+) navigate complex PTSD, post-partum depression, and burnout. I use mind-body techniques to help you get out of survival mode, process your past, and reconnect with yourself—kind of like leveling up in a self-care quest. Together, we work on finding that inner peace and balance, like unlocking the next episode of your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I believe facing the dark parts of ourselves is like Frodo’s journey in “Lord of the Rings”—it’s tough, but we have to walk through the darkness to find healing. The good news? Our brains have a superpower called neuroplasticity, like “X-Men” level stuff, where damaged parts can regenerate and adapt. It’s proof that no matter how deep the hurt, we can rewire our responses and heal from trauma. We all have a human right to live safely in our bodies, no matter our race, identity, or what society says, like “Pose” or “Dear White People”—we all deserve a world where we feel seen, valued, and safe.
