About My Clients
You never thought you'd end up here... feeling overwhelmed, emotional, and exhausted. You may be a new birthing parent/ partner struggling to adjust to your new normal or facing sexual difficulties. You may be a high achieving woman struggling with perfectionism/ imposter syndrome or recovering from trauma/ loss. Or, you may be a BIPOC mental health provider who knows you deserve compassionate support and treatment just like your patients do. Hope, healing, and transformation are possible.
What I Specialize In
My practice of culturally humble and responsive psychotherapy specializes in reproductive psychology and therapy for BIPOC therapists. I work with postpartum adjustment and mood issues, women's health issues, women's sexual difficulties, perinatal anger, anxiety, depression, infertility, trauma survivorship, reproductive trauma & loss, & concerns uniquely experienced by BIPOCs. My theoretical style is collaborative in nature and I use an integrative approach to support patients as they regain their sense of stability and work towards healing and change.
My Values as a Therapist
I believe in our innate human capacity for change and growth. I believe that we are relational beings and that our interpersonal strategies serve to bolster or inhibit our resilience and sense of worth. I am a scholar-practitioner-activist focused on evidence-based and culturally responsive care for the Black, Indigenous, and Other People of Color (BIPOC) community, particularly in the areas of reproductive psychology, oppression-based trauma, and therapy for therapists.
