About My Clients
Are you struggling with worries, frustrations, and anxiety? Are you noticing it's hard to get clear on who you are or what you want? Are you experiencing challenges in your relationships with friends, coworkers, or romantic partners? I'm here to help you explore these concerns and more. I have special experience with folks in the LGBTQ+ community, and also with youth and young adults. In addition, I support couples and relationships, and people across different identities.
How I Can Help You
I'm a skillful, experienced therapist and clinical supervisor, who will bring to every session with you an open heart and a thoughtful mind. Throughout years of advanced training, I have developed an ability to connect deeply, listen closely, and support your growth and healing. From addressing and undoing anxiety, to getting clearer on communication with yourself and your important people, I have the skills to help you address your challenges. In particular, my experiences and training have deepened my ability to help LGBTQ+ folks of all ages/identities; youth, and those who support them; and couples/relationships, struggling with communication and intimacy. My current ongoing training in SAVI and SCT has enabled me to be an even more impactful therapist, helping you and all the "systems" you inhabit (e.g. couples/relationships/groups) to address challenges, improve communication, and develop toward your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm an anti-racist and anti-oppression oriented therapist. I'm a member of various groups within my professional communities which are working to undo the impacts of racism and white supremacy. I'm happy to support other white folks in this work, and I'm also happy to serve as an ally to anyone impacted by systems of racism, misogyny, heteronormativity, ableism, and transphobia. I'm a believer in the power of writing: to support personal growth and exploration, to serve as a vehicle for resistance, and a catalyst for creativity. I'm happy to support other writers, to see how writing can supplement our work. I also seriously value the theory underneath my work, and I hold in mind often some of the lessons of my late teacher and trainer, Yvonne Agazarian: that "words without feeling have no meaning," and that core to our growth as individuals, relationships, and groups is identifying and integrating our differences, with curiosity and compassion.
