About My Clients
Being human is messy and the relationships we have with ourselves and others can often feel even messier. However, you, through your lived experiences, have a significant amount of important data about what is working for you versus what is not. Together we can use that data and determine what variables have been supportive as well as what elements may need a revised approach.
My Background and Approach
Therapeutic work with me involves a deep respect for consent – you get to choose our direction, our focus, and where we are headed. I may gently steer us down a path, but ultimately you are the captain of our journey. Our work together may look like unpacking, reframing, creating, clarifying, building, dissolving, and accepting aspects of your lived experience. Often nonlinear in nature, our work may evolve in different and even unexpected ways throughout our time together. Remember, you get to define what a meaningful life and relationships with yourself and others look like. Together, using the skills and insight we cultivate in session, we’ll put your definitions into practice.
My Values as a Therapist
I specialize in supporting clients in working more accessibly with identity, relational, and transition-based challenges. I work from an attachment-based and ACT-informed perspective and I value integrating a variety of evidence-based practices into my therapeutic approach. Centering my clinical work in supporting BIPOC, queer, trans, and gender expansive people is important to me in addition to respectfully recognizing the various intersecting identities we all inhabit. I am also passionate about working with spiritual and/or creative individuals who are seeking a therapeutic space that honors and integrates their unique skills and resources.
