About My Clients
I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+, non-monogamous, kinky, and neurodivergent folks. As a chronically ill person myself, I love helping folks to manage chronic illness/pain and self-advocate within healthcare systems. My areas of focus include helping people to build self-esteem and self-efficacy, to build tools to navigate neurodivergence in adulthood, and to identify core beliefs and needs so that they can live life more authentically.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and non-pathologizing. My goal is co-create a warm and non-judgmental environment that encourages curiosity, connection, and a spirit of exploration. Through our work together, I endeavor to meet you where you are, to uphold respect for your individual lived experience and to practice cultural humility. Though I draw from various theoretical frameworks, research shows that the most important factor for therapeutic progress is the relationship between client and therapist. Therefore, I strive to bring my authentic and imperfect self. I welcome you to share what you want from our time together, as well as what’s working and what's not. We're in this together!
