About My Clients
Do you feel like your partner has become your roommate and the spark is gone? My ideal clients are those seeking to restore emotional and physical intimacy, address issues related to sexual difficulties, and enhance their overall relationship satisfaction. Whether you’re dealing with communication challenges, desire differences, or complex sexual dynamics, I’m here to support you on your journey to a lasting connection.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master's Degree in Couple & Family Therapy, with a specialization in Sex Therapy, from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in both Oregon and Washington. With over a decade of experience as a couples counselor, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to my practice. I utilize a variety of models and evidence-based practices, including emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and intersystems theory. As a systemic-oriented therapist, I believe that people are connected to each other through a system of intertwining relationships. Sometimes, as people encounter changes, problems arise that individuals and partners cannot handle on their own. My role is to support you in building positive, secure relationships that will improve your well-being and interpersonal experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the healing power that comes from dismantling internalized systems of oppression (racism, misogyny, ableism, etc.) and I am passionate about helping my clients break free of previously identified constraints and negative beliefs that keep them, their loved ones, and society at large stuck and unable to reach their full potential. My clinical interests include working with couples, relationship groups, and individuals on communication issues, a lost sense of connection, and sexual dysfunction in the context of their relationships. My passions are addressing sexual desire differences in couples, working with neurodiverse partnerships, and helping clients explore or renegotiate open relationships. When I am not in the office, you can find me practicing yoga, wine tasting, skiing Mt. Hood, or camping with my partner and friends.
