About My Clients
My clients typically feel like they are “too much”, their emotions are “too big”, and they are “too sensitive”. I invite clients to alter their thinking and believe they are “enough” through a variety of approaches (see “my approach”). My clients are usually seeking treatment in order to increase their ability to “swim in the sea of emotions”, improve relationships with loved ones, and improve executive functioning skills (such as time management, accomplishing their to-do-list, ect).
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in neuroaffirming care, strengths-based therapy, and client-centered relational therapy. I believe the client is the expert of their experiences, and also comes to therapy with questions regarding themselves. Together I believe we can find the answers. I’m trained and experienced in Expressive Arts therapy, and have worked within neurodivergent communities within various roles for the past ten years.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a neurodivergent individual, I know how intense it came be to navigate our neurotypical world. I believe my job is to help people create a life that works best for them through improving self-compassion, improving self-esteem, and honoring their strengths and limitations. My worked is built in the foundations of feminist therapy, multi-cultural therapy, and liberation psychology. My experience may not be exactly like yours, but together, I believe we can find the answers to the questions you are holding onto. Please feel free to reach out for an initial consultation. I’d be honored to join you in this journey.
