About My Clients
I find that my clients come to treatment when they have arrived at a life transition- be it loss of relationship, job, death of loved one, or realization of past traumatic experiences- and are ready to process their emotions and heal. Openness to exploring your internal world, including past traumatic experiences that may be impacting your life, is integral in the work I will support you in.
How I Can Help You
I initially assess my clients for current issues or negative patterns to help support development of positive coping skills to manage the current issues. We will do a thorough trauma assessment, to see if any past maladaptive experiences may be negatively impacting current growth. I may implement EMDR, IFS, and art therapy, as well teach you CBT-based skills to support identifying, challenging, and replacing negative or self-defeating thought patterns. It is important to tailor my approach to meet my your unique personality, goals, and needs to develop a strong rapport and trusting relationship, and I will (attempt) to add humor as appropriate, to help you shift perspective. My ultimate goal is to help you live the life you have imagined for yourself, and help you create a life in which you feel supported, respected, competent, and joyful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
