My Background and Approach
I’m a LMFT with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My journey to becoming a therapist began with a degree in biology from UCSB and a few years of medical school at UCI. I changed course after experiencing therapy myself and realizing my calling was tending to emotional wounds rather than physical ones. I have extensive experience working with teens, adults, couples, and families, helping them navigate issues including trauma, depression, relationship conflict, existential fears, sexuality, gender, life changes, pregnancy, and parenting. My approach is rooted in deep empathy and a commitment to understanding each individual's unique story. In couples therapy, I use my advanced training in Imago Relationship Therapy to help partners reconnect, communicate more effectively, and foster deeper understanding and intimacy. This approach is designed to transform conflict into opportunities for growth and healing, leading to stronger relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work as a therapist is profoundly meaningful to me. I consider it an honor to earn and maintain the trust of my clients. I am committed to my own continuous therapy and psychological growth, believing this to be the most crucial training for any therapist. Outside of my professional life, I cherish spending time with my family and friends. I have two wonderful sons and belong to a vibrant extended family. I love engaging in philosophical conversations, playing Dungeons & Dragons and pickleball, hiking, and enjoying movies and shows. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
