My Background and Approach
I am a clinical psychologist with specialized training in trauma and PTSD. My experience includes working with survivors of religious trauma, sexual trauma, and childhood abuse. I also help clients navigate family estrangement, role transitions, and identity exploration. I use evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to tailor treatment to each person’s needs. Whether you’re seeking relief from distress or looking to rediscover your sense of self, my approach focuses on helping you reclaim control over your life and align with your values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong ally for the LGBTQ+ community, including bisexual, gay, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, queer, and transgender individuals. I’m also deeply committed to racial justice and creating an inclusive, affirming space for all identities. My practice is centered on empowering clients to explore their authentic selves and heal from trauma that may be tied to societal expectations or cultural pressures. I’m passionate about advocating for mental health access and supporting those who may feel marginalized or silenced. Outside of therapy, I engage in research on trauma, mental health stigma, and the intersections of identity. In my personal time, I find grounding and joy in nature, which helps restore my energy.
