About My Clients
Hey there! I'm Laura Grossman. I'm a therapist who proudly identifies as queer. My passion lies in helping individuals and couples navigate life's ups and downs, especially those who identify as LGBTQ+, but I work with all sorts of people looking to bring more happiness and confidence into their lives and relationships.
My Background and Approach
My practice is grounded in compassion, respect, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. I hold space for clients to navigate issues such as gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship dynamics, and self-acceptance. Through a collaborative and non-judgmental approach, I aim to empower my clients to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful connections. Our goal is empowering you – after all, you're the true expert on yourself and your aspirations. I believe in teamwork, commitment, and a safe space where we can all be open and genuine. Let's work hand in hand to embrace who you are now and who you're aiming to be, by traveling on a collaborative path towards a brighter, more fulfilled you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My identity as a white, queer, fat, upper-middle-class, able-bodied, cisgender woman of Jewish and European heritage means that I will always be fully committed to ongoing learning regarding privilege, white supremacy, disability justice, and oppression. I do not believe therapy can ever be a space free from impacts of oppression, but I will continue to seek frequent consultations for feedback through a diverse network of supervisors, colleagues, and my own therapist.
